Nengah Private Surfguiding offers you professional Surflessons & Surfguiding on the most efficient, intensive and safest way. We are a small company, located in Canggu at Batu Bolong Beach, grown up on the surf board and trained according to the ISA (International Surfing Association) curriculum and guidelines.
Nengah is the heart and soul of Nengah Private Surfguiding. Based on more than 20 years of surf experience, he knows how to meet the demands of every surf level. Very welcoming, open-minded, patient, responsible and with a huge smile every time – this would describe Nengah quiet well. He is the one, that encourages you in the water; who will calm you and make you smile again in every situation; who will give you that magic motivation, that you need to have a unforgettable & successful surf.

Beginner surf lesson
You have never surfed before? This surflesson will then be the perfect match for you. Our surf guide will choose the surf spot with the right conditions for your beginner course. Batu Bolong is perfect for that. You can be sure to be safe, as all of our surf teachers are experienced surf instructors and lifeguards for many years. Intermediate surf lesson
You can successfully paddle out alone at a familiar location and catch and ride waves to a logical finish ? Then welcome to the intermediate surfers . To improve your level, it’s important to avoid mistakes from now on . We will give you the best tips and techniques for advanced surfing. The breaks in Canggu are ideal for intermediate surfers. But also plenty of other great spots are ready to get discovered.

Kids surf lesson
With kids we strictly do one on one teaching. Batu Bolong Temple is a perfect start for the kids. The big waves break outside and what we ride are the small reform waves in a safe area with little current and hardly any rocks. In the first few classes we are happy that there is heaps of whitewater to make the first steps more easy.

Board Insurance:
Be on the safe side and "insure" your rental board. Price IDR 500.000 for your surflesson or package. With this insurance, we will carry the costs for any repairs, whether it’s a tiny dent or a major break. Any damage will be repaired professionally. If the board or parts of it get lost - even if it is in the water - the costs have to be borne by the user.
Cancellations:
Cancellations free of charge 24 hours before the booked Surflesson. Last Minute cancellations will be fully charged.

Yes please! As we are a small team of professional coaches, thats why spaces are limited.

Where do we surf in Canggu?
We surf usually at Batu Bolong Beach, which is a perfect spot for beginner and intermediate surfers but we are also happy to go with you to other spots regarding your surfing level.
What time the lesson start?
We do daily morning and afternoon lessons. Time depends always on tide and swell and your level.
How long is one session?
One session is 2 hours in the water.
Can I use a board after the lesson?
Boards are included during the lesson .If you wanna practice afterwards , you can rent anytime a board at one of the board rentals on the beach.
Do i get photos?
If you book a private 5 sessions package your best surf pics are included, but we are happy to offer you surf photos anytime for IDR 300,000.
Can I have 2 sessions per day?
If the conditions are alright anytime!
Can I cancel my lesson anytime?
Cancellations are free 24 hours before the lesson starts. After that, the lesson will be fully charged.
How can I pay?
Payment please in cash before the first lesson and can be done in Indonesian Rupiah or Euro.
Are your lessons suitable for children?
Yes our lessons are suitable for children from 5 years old and above. With kids we strictly do one on one teaching till 12 years to provide the best safety.
